I am a studio furniture maker who has been producing small production and one of a kind furniture for over thirty five years. I have exhibited in galleries in Western Canada, Washington and California and have work in private and public collections throughout North America. A certified joiner, with a BA in History in Art and an MA in Art Education from the University of Victoria, I have taught courses in furniture making and design for over thirty years.
My furniture is designed to be functional, but with an aesthetic ideology of simplicity and honesty. I learned through contact with crafts people, artists of all mediums, and academic studies in Fine Arts to view furniture making as an integral part of the visual arts.
